Washington County Head Start / Early Head Start and Child Care Programs, New York

Early Head Start at Southern Adirondack Center:
We currently operate an Early Head Start teen parent program in collaboration with our local BOCES. Sixteen teen parents are enrolled in a full-day educational/vocational program at the Southern Adirondack Educational Center in Hudson Falls.

Local public school districts transport the parents and their infants and toddlers to the center each day. The Early Head Start program provides quality child care and a comprehensive family program including a parenting course, health and nutrition services, family assessments and referrals and support for the teen in their role as parents.
