Washington County Head Start / Early Head Start and Child Care Programs has been making a difference in people’s lives for nearly 40 years by providing services to enrich the lives of our Head Start / Early Head Start children and their families and by continuously striving to improve these services by the ongoing training and professional development of our staff.
We serve 310 Head Start children - ages 3-5 years, and 110 Early Head Start pregnant women and children from birth to 3 years of age. 284 are served in 6 center based locations and 136 are served through home based services.
We provide comprehensive education, health, nutrition and parent involvement services to low-income children and their families. The scope of our programs allows us to provide seamless services from pregnancy through age 5. We take great care to provide smooth transitions within all of our programs.
We are committed to our mission and recognize its importance in our work with the children and families of Washington County.
